The Fibonacci sequence is a kind of sequence that starts with 0 and 1, and each subsequent number is the sum of the two preceding ones.
So it goes like 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34…….so on.
So what is the fun about it? Let’s begin with history.
It was observed by Italian Mathematician, artist, and designer Leonardo Fibonacci in the year 1202 when he noticed how rabbits breed fast with time in favorable conditions. He was amused by the observation (from one pair, two pairs it continues to grow like 0,1,1,2,3,5 and so on )
The solution generation by generation was a sequence of numbers, later it was known as the Fibonacci sequence.
They appear everywhere in nature, the growth of every living thing.
From here another interesting fact comes, i.e. “Golden ratio”.
If we take the ratio of the two successive numbers in the Fibonacci series (1/1=1, 2/1=2,3/2=1.5,5/3=1.67,8/5=1.6, 13/8=1.625, 21/13=1.61538……)
The ratio has a particular value nearest to 1.618034, which we call the “Golden ratio”. We can easily see the example of the Fibonacci series in our daily life.
The head and pattern of the flowers, the spiraling of Sunflower, vegetables like cauliflower, and fruits like pineapple, the shape of a certain spider’s web.Here is the specialty and the beauty of mathematics, also a matter of fun. Isn’t it?
