Dhriya Das, a fourth-grader, penned a poem that transports us to the serene beauty of nature describing the wonderful world. Experience tranquil scenes of drifting clouds, glowing sunsets, and the free-spirited lives of forest animals in her verses.
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD
The clouds are floating in the sky,
The girl is boating, drifting by.
Animals search in forest deep,
While I sit at my window seat,
Gazing at the stunning scene,
Nature‘s beauty, so serene.
The sunset glows with hues so bright,
Animals drink in fading light.
I sit, I watch, and I admire,
Their lives, so free, they never tire.
Adventure calls them, wild and pure,
They roam the land, their joy secure.
Friends they meet, the rabbit, deer,
In a world that’s bright and clear.
Birds fly high, their spirits free,
Above the clouds, across the sea.
They travel far, they soar, they glide,
With endless wonders by their side.
The rainbow arcs in colors bold,
The moon, a pearl in night’s soft hold.
Stars that twinkle, bright and far,
Nature’s gems, each like a star.
Everything is perfect, fine,
In this peaceful night, divine.
