🏛️ 1683 – The World’s First University Museum Opens!
Do you love museums? Then you’ll love this fact! On 6th June 1683, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England opened its doors. It was the world’s very first museum in a university, filled with ancient artefacts and marvellous treasures!

Have you seen your clothes being ironed before school? Thank Henry W. Seely, who patented the electric iron on this day in 1882.

But hold on—it wasn’t like the sleek ones we use today. His iron weighed 15 pounds and took ages to heat up!

🎤 1923 – First Sports News on the Radio!
Most of you know that Director Biswajit Jha Sir, the Director of Epic Public School was the editor of the sports section at Zee News. But do you knw who is known as the first sports journalist? Here’s a cool history nugget: in 1923, Edgar Wallace became the first British radio sports journalist, reporting on a horse race for the BBC! 📻🐎

Popcorn? ✅ Movies? ✅ Watching from your car? ✅ YES! On this day in 1933, Richard Hollingshead opened the world’s first Drive-In Movie Theatre in New Jersey, USA. Families loved watching films under the stars!

🪂 1942 – First Nylon Parachute Jump!
On 6th June 1942, Adeline Gray, a parachute tester, became the first person to jump using a nylon parachute! This helped make safer parachutes during wartime when silk was hard to get.
