Dear Readers,
Words have tremendous power. Words can create magic. People started expressing themselves through words. Through words, people have created languages over the years. Every word is an emotion. People felt the need to express their emotions. They found the most powerful tool to express emotion is words.
When people got the most powerful tool in words, they became civilised and educated. With words, they learnt to write. Newspapers, periodicals, books, etc have been written when people realised the power of words. Not only books but words have created EPICs also. Expressing emotions has given us an escape route from this mundane world full of trials and tribulations, tragedy, and heartbreaks.
Since its inception, Epic Public School has always encouraged its students to create the same magic with words. We have many students who have the potential to become wordsmiths. Our students have shown exemplary talents in writing. Keeping this in mind we have started this unique initiative of having our Web Magazine—EPIC WORDS, which will lay an ideal platform for our students to showcase their writing talents.
Unlike School magazine, which is published once every year, EPIC WORDS will give them the option of publishing their write-ups whenever they want. They can now write as many stories, poems, news stories, and articles on current affairs, sports, science, technology, and many other things. Now, they have the option to showcase their talents in arts, paintings, and cartoons.
The best part is that our guardians, who are our biggest strength, have a place to write in our Web magazine. It is said that learning starts at home. When the guardians start writing, their children will automatically write. They will have a role model for writing at their homes.
Being an author of two books I have realised how writing can be a blissful feeling for those who want to express their emotions. Like reading, the process of writing can be a stress buster–it can soothe your tensed nerves very easily after a day’s hard work. The process of writing can be uplifting and can transport us to a blissful world that helps us forget all the pains and tragedies of life.
I hope our Web Magazine–EPIC WORDS– will help our students immensely in expressing their emotions through their powerful words.
