Dear Readers,
I am thrilled to announce the introduction of EPIC WORDS—the Web Magazine of EPIC PUBLIC SCHOOL. As you all know Epic Public School is known for treading uncommon paths, this is another unique initiative by the school. Probably, we are the only school in this region to have come up with this full-fledged Web portal for the students.
In this digital era, if you don’t take advantage of technology, you are bound to lag behind of others. That’s why we have done away with the school magazine as we realised that the school magazine can be published once a year and there is not enough scope for writing for the students who want to write regularly. So, we thought about introducing this web portal where our students can write as many stories, news articles, and poems as possible.
Since we give importance to fostering creativity among the students, we want our students to think more and come up with creative writing—be it a story, poem, article, or any other form of writing.
Writing will give them the scope to think out of the box. And out-of-the-box thinking is the only way to become a creative child. In this age of creativity, only the innovative children will do well in professional life. So our aim of bringing up more creative children will be successful once our students start thinking more and more and come up with creative writing.
Generally, our students write in three different languages—English, Bengali, and Hindi. Though ours is an English medium school, we lay equal importance to Bengali and Hindi also. So the readers would come across write-ups in these three languages .
As a firm believer of the power of the students, I sincerely hope and believe that all our students will create magic with their words and will make EPIC WORDS a grand success.
