Epic Public School successfully hosted its second English Olympiad, Englishiad 2 for classes 4-8, featuring preliminary and main rounds, including pen-and-paper, pictorial, and buzzer challenges. Students showcased remarkable English skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm, with winners recognized across junior and senior categories.
Recently Epic Public School organised it’s second English Olympiad “Englishiad 2”,for students of class 4-8.The event was conducted seperately for juniors (4-5) and seniors (6) and (7-8).
The preliminary round, a selection test assessed core subject knowledge. The mains,held on February 5th ,consisted of three rounds for seniors: pen and paper round, pictorial round and buzzer round.
Four teams participated ,named after literary greats: Charles Dickens,P.B Shelly,Ruskin Bond and William Wordsworth.
The senior winners(7-8) were:
Champions :P.B.Shelly(Gitiman Debnath,Parnika Dutta and Devangshi Shukla)
1st Runners Up:Charles Dickens(Korak Maitra,Sriti Bhuja and Souripta Debnath)
2nd Runners Up:William Wordsworth(Prarona Karmakar,Debdutta Bhattacharaya and Purba Nandi)
The winners from seniors (6) were:
Champions:Shibangi Mitra,Sannidhya Chowdhury and Surya Das.
1st Runners Up:Shrouti Ghosh,Pritha Ghosh and Surya Das.
2nd Runners Up:Arya De Sarkar,Sattwik Mondal and Samriddha Karmakar.
The winners from juniors were (4-5):
Champions:Natalia Goutam,Sohalia Panda and Sayantani Das
1st Runners Up:Debarshi Nath,Shreyanjoy Basu and Anushi Sarkar
2nd Runners Up: Parnik Das,Saanvi Gupta Agrahari and Shristi Biswas.
The event was a resounding success. Students showcased their impressive English skills through various rounds. Especially the buzzer round had them on the edge of their seats!
Addressing to the students Principal ma’am ,Dr. Sanjukta Saha said “We have organised Englishiad before but the level of enthusiasm and talent showcased today was truly praiseworthy. Epic Public School is proud to have hosted such a wonderful competion.”
