Dear Students,
Would you like to know about aliens—yes, real the ones from other planets—who may have come to Chhattisgarh ten thousand years ago? I promise I’ll tell you all about it! But before we jump into flying saucers and aliens, let’s take a quick ride through the exciting historical events that happened on 7th July across the world!
🍫 Chocolate Day – 7th July 1550
Did you know that the very first date chocolate was introduced to Europe on this day? That’s why 7th July is celebrated as Chocolate Day! So if you’ve ever had a chocolate bar melt in your pocket on a hot day, just remember—you’re eating history (and maybe a bit of your homework if you left it in the same bag 😄).

⚔️ Ranjit Singh’s March into Lahore – 7th July 1799
On this day, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the Lion of Punjab, surrounded Lahore with his army of 25,000 soldiers! With bravery and brilliant strategy, he captured the city and laid the foundation for the mighty Sikh Empire.
💎 And guess what? He even owned the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond, one of the largest diamonds in the world, which later made its way to the British Crown Jewels.

🎧 First BBC DJ – 7th July 1927
Before Spotify or even cassette tapes, Christopher Stone became the first disc jockey (DJ) for the BBC! He had this cool idea of playing records on the radio and chatting with listeners in a friendly style—something no one had done before! So, every time you bop to a song on the radio, thank Mr. Stone for getting the party started.

🍞 The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread – 7th July 1928
Yes, there was a time when bread wasn’t sliced! But on this day, Otto Frederick Rohwedder’s machine sliced bread for the first time in Missouri, USA. People were amazed! The Chillicothe Baking Company called it “the greatest forward step in the baking industry since bread was wrapped.” So next time you make a sandwich, give a little nod to Otto!

🎥 Birth of Indian Cinema – 7th July 1896
On 7th July, 1896, the Lumière Brothers screened six short films at Watson’s Hotel in Bombay. It was the early public screening of films in India!
🎬 Later, in 1907, India’s first permanent movie theatre—Elphinstone Picture Palace (later known as Chaplin Cinema)—opened in Calcutta. That’s where your grandparents might’ve seen their first black-and-white film!

👽 Now the Alien Story from Chhattisgarh…
Hold onto your seats because this is where things get out of this world!
In 2014, archaeologist J.R. Bhagat made an astonishing discovery in Charama, a region in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar area. In a village, he found rock paintings—but not just any old drawings.
These were strange…
🛸 UFO-shaped airships
🧑🚀 Humanoid figures with space suites.
Sounds like science fiction? Well, the local villagers believe that thousands of years ago, mysterious airships came from the sky, took a few people—and they never returned! The story has been passed down for generations, and these rock paintings are even worshipped by the locals.
Although scientists say more research is needed, these paintings make us wonder:
Are we really alone in the universe? Or did visitors from the stars come to Chhattisgarh and other places across the world long before anyone had even heard of Wi-Fi?
So, dear students,
7th July is not just about chocolate and sliced bread—it’s also about Maharajas, cinema, music, and perhaps… aliens! Whether you’re a history buff or a sci-fi dreamer, this date has something just for you.
Keep exploring, keep asking questions—and who knows? Maybe one day you’ll be the one to solve the mystery of the ancient aliens in India!
