🌪️ The First Tornado Ever Recorded! (1643)
A long time ago, in 1643, John Winthrop, the Governor of Massachusetts in America, wrote in his journal about something scary—a sudden, fierce windstorm that tore apart a meeting house in Newbury and sadly took a person’s life.
This was possibly the first tornado ever recorded in history!
👉 Did you know?
The word tornado comes from the Spanish word tronada, meaning thunderstorm, and also from tornar, which means to twist. That’s exactly what tornadoes do—they spin around in circles like a giant top!
🌀 Remember the tornado in Jalpaiguri on 31st March last year? Here’s a video that shows how powerful tornadoes can be.
🧠 Isaac Newton and the Book That Changed Science (1687)
If you love science, you’ll find this super exciting!
On 5th July, 1687, Sir Isaac Newton published his famous book called Principia. In it, he explained:
✨ The laws of motion – why things move the way they do.
✨ Universal gravitation – how everything attracts everything else.
Thanks to Newton, we understand why apples fall from trees and how planets stay in orbit. 🍎🌍🌙

👑 Begum Hazrat Mahal – The Brave Queen of Lucknow (1857)
In 1857, India was fighting against British rule. On this very day, Begum Hazrat Mahal, a courageous queen, led an attack to take back Lucknow from the British.
She was so bold that she made her young son, Birjis Qadra, the king of Lucknow after victory. Her bravery inspired thousands to fight for freedom.

💡 The Tiny Invention That Changed the World – The Transistor (1951)
Imagine a world without mobile phones, computers, or even calculators!
On 5th July, 1951, three brilliant scientists—William Shockley, John Bardeen, and Walter Brattain—invented something magical: the junction transistor.
This small device became the building block of all modern electronics. They were later awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. 🌟

📱 Hello, India! The First Mobile Call (1995)
All of you love using your mobiles. But do you know where mobile phones started in India?
It was in July, 1995, when the first-ever mobile phone call was made, not in Delhi, not in Mumbai but in the city of Calcutta . The then Chief Minister, Mr Jyoti Basu, dialled the call to inaugurate India’s cellular services.
So the next time you pick up your phone, remember where it all began.
History isn’t just about dates – it’s about stories, heroes, and ideas that shape our world. Happy learning! 🌈
