May 2, 1921, was the day when a great visionary was brought into the world — a filmmaker who is widely celebrated as one of the greatest auteurs in the history of global cinema.
Pather Panchali, Aparajito, and Feluda are all masterpieces created by this great 6’4″ visionary. His contribution was so profound that even today people remember him whenever they see a book written by him, a film made by him, or a song composed by him.
This great filmmaker, author, illustrator, and music composer was none other than the legendary Satyajit Ray.
To commemorate his immense contributions, May 2 was celebrated at Epic Public School.
The celebration began with a speech by Bidisha Chakraborty, which deeply inspired the students. The speech not only highlighted his achievements but also expressed the beauty of his writings. It was followed by the screening of a video on Satyajit Ray, which inspired many students by showcasing how brilliant he was.
Though merely celebrating a single day is not enough to justify his greatness, the occasion inspired many young minds to imbibe his values and aspire to become as inspiring as him in the future.
