World Music Day 2026 at Epic Public School: Students rock stage with guitar, flute, keyboard & ukulele in powerful celebration proving music heals mental health.
“Where words fail, music speaks.”
— Hans Christian Andersen
Music – simply a universal language. Here, words aren’t required, just sequences of vibrations and frequencies are enough to make one understand the deep emotions that words of numerous languages cannot explain.
21 June is the day when World Music Day is celebrated in every part of the world. It’s when the world comes together, singing the same lyrics standing shoulder-to-shoulder in concerts, or just enjoying personal space and peace while singing their heart out, or expressing themselves through the melody of instruments.
The students of Epic Public School had also come together to celebrate this auspicious day. Their passion for music was expressed on the day of their performance. Seeing these young stars vibe on the beats, singing their heart out, strumming the six-string, pounding their fingers on the keyboard, playing Ukelele and Clap box, blowing through the mesmerizing flute, in a rhythmic unison, is a scene of pure music being produced by pure hearts.
This mind-blowing performance was served by –
Souripta Debnath (Keyboardist)
Shreejit Jha (Flutist)
Abhirup Dutta (Guitarist)
Ahyan Niyaz (Chorus)
Pratyay De (Guitarist)
Tridiva Chakraborty (Chorus)
Parnika Dutta (Chorus)
Srinika Choudhury (Chorus)
Uditsha Basak (Chorus)
Shrinika Das (Chorus)
Indrava Bhattacharjee (Ukelele and Clap box player)
The true credit of this performance goes to Bidhan Sir, who trained the students through every rehearsal and whose efforts made them shine. The students were also guided by Somashish Sir, who got the students closer to perfection. The principal madam of Epic Public School, Dr Sanjukta Saha was the one truly excited and looking forward to this day.
Several rehearsals and tireless practices resulted to this mesmerizing performance. It proves their unshakable teamwork, patience and passion for music. It inspires more students, not only in their school, but students all over the world, to enjoy and work with music, because music is more than just entertainment and background noise. It is a healer, maybe not for the physical health, but for the mental health. It heals many of those scars in our life, which medicines fail to heal.
As the final notes faded, one thing became clear: the future of music is in incredibly talented hands. Celebration of World Music Day in Epic Public School turned out to be a scene of young rockstars rocking the stage! By stepping onto the stage and pouring their hearts into every beat, these young musicians didn’t just perform—they created a vivid memory that will keep people fuelled by the rhythm and consumed by the sound.
