International Biodiversity Day was celebrated at Epic Public School with inspiring speeches, an interactive session by biology expert Priyobrata Goswami, and an exciting PowerPoint presentation contest for students of Classes VII to IX.
The celebration of International Biodiversity Day at Epic Public School was marked with enthusiasm, awareness, and creativity as students and teachers came together to honour the richness of nature and the importance of preserving it for future generations. The programme aimed to spread awareness about biodiversity conservation while encouraging students to express their ideas and concerns regarding the environment.

The programme began with peaceful shloka chanting by the students and was continued by the felicitation of the chief guest, Mr. Priyobrata Goswami, who was invited to share his valuable thoughts on World Biodiversity and his knowledge about nature, Earth, and other fascinating topics with the students. The students eagerly participated by asking him questions, which made the session highly engaging and interactive.

Priyobrata Goswami is an experienced Biology teacher with over 20 years of experience, specializing in mentoring students for the medical stream and competitive examinations. Known for simplifying complex biological concepts with clarity and precision, he has successfully guided many aspiring doctors towards achieving outstanding results in medical entrance examinations.
Combining deep subject expertise with innovative teaching methodologies, Mr. Priyobrata creates an engaging and result-oriented learning environment that inspires students to excel academically and develop a genuine passion for Biology. His commitment, experience, and student-centric approach have earned him a prestigious reputation among students and parents alike.

Respected Principal ma’am then gave an inspiring speech, setting an enthusiastic tone for the programme and motivating the students.

The programme was followed by a PowerPoint Presentation Contest organised by the school authority. A total of eight groups from Classes VII to IX participated in the contest.
Their presentations focused on biodiversity and explained its various aspects, such as sustainable development, wildlife conservation, climate change, and environmental awareness. Their presentations showcased remarkable creativity, which truly left the judges impressed.
Through their research, knowledge, and confidence, the students beautifully expressed the urgent need to protect forests, marine life, and conserve biodiversity.

The contest witnessed enthusiastic participation and healthy competition among the students. Teachers and judges appreciated the efforts, presentation skills, and innovative ideas displayed by the participants.
The event not only enhanced the students’ knowledge but also inspired them to think deeply about environmental issues and their role in protecting nature.

The programme then continued with the much-awaited winners’ declaration ceremony.
Among all the groups, four teams secured winning positions.
Continuing the legacy of Epic Public School, two talented groups jointly secured the third position. One group included Shrouti Ghosh, Pritha Ghosh, and Reshmi Banu, while the other group comprised of Korak Maitra, Prarona Karmakar, Anupam Roy, and Tridiva Chakraborty.


The second position was secured by Purba Nandi, Shreejit Jha, Shankhadeep Das, and Sattwik Roy, who impressed the judges with their creativity and confidence.

The auditorium filled with cheers and joy as the champions were announced. The winning team consisted of Ritisha Saha, Shreejita Mukherjee, Soumyajit Dey Sarkar, and Devangshi Shukla. Their presentation, speaking skills, and grace left the judges amazed.

The programme concluded with a speech by the respected Director Sir, who emphasized the importance of public speaking and creativity in today’s growing world.

The chief guest stated, “It was truly an amazing experience to witness the creativity of the students. All of them were the absolute stars of today’s programme.”
