21st January, Cooch Behar: Epic Public School, Cooch Behar, has always encouraged holistic education by focusing not just on academics but also on sports, quizzes, creative writing, and much more. Continuing this tradition, Epic invited Mr. Keshav Ranjan Banerjee, the former coach of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, to serve as the sports adviser for the school.
Mr. Keshav Banerjee will be visiting the school every quarter to mentor the students and guide the sports teachers. During his latest visit on the 21st, he provided valuable guidance on batting, bowling, and wicketkeeping.
Speaking to us, Mr. Banerjee said, “It is indeed a pleasure to be a part of the school. I am quite confident that there are many hidden talents here, and I promise to guide them with all my skill and dedication to hone their abilities.”
On the occasion, Dr. Sanjukta Saha, Principal of Epic Public School, stated, “This is truly a privilege and a great opportunity for us to welcome Mr. Keshav Ranjan Banerjee as our sports adviser. Our students will now have the chance to develop their skills under his expert guidance.”
Biswajit Jha, the Director of Epic Public School, added, “I am delighted today, as I am a sports enthusiast myself. As many are aware, I was the Sports Editor for Zee News before I started this school in Cooch Behar. For me, having Mr. Keshav Banerjee agree to be our sports adviser means that our students will now have the opportunity to receive world-class education not only in academics but also in sports.”
This initiative by Epic Public School has opened up new opportunities for its students. Time will tell if we discover an international cricketer from Epic Public School. After all, who knows? Perhaps the hidden talent is currently sitting in one of the classrooms, waiting to be identified.
