Indrava Bhattacharjee, a student of fourth grade, shares the tale of two young tigers in the forest who learn a valuable lesson about choices and compassion when a hunt tests their unity and decision-making skills.
Once upon a time, there lived two little tigers in a forest. One day when their parents were sleeping the elder brother suggested “Let us go out for a hunt.” The younger agreed, but soon their joy turned to a debate as both wanted to hunt different animals.
At that instance, they saw a fawn, and almost immediately they stopped their debate and decided to hunt the fawn. It was a good choice as the fawn was very weak and slow. Moreover, the fawn was seen all alone, away from the mother deer.
Both brothers were ready for their hunt, but then the mother dear appeared and looked at the little tigers. Understanding the motive, the mother deer said, “Please don’t kill my baby, she has very little meat which would not be sufficient for you.” She also went on to suggest that they could kill the animals nearby which were healthier and full of meat.
This made the tiger brothers confused and they looked at each other. Finding an opportunity the mother dear ran away with her son and saved her son from the two little tigers.
Moral of the story: Be fearless and clever to win.
