Ahana Chakraborty, a student of fourth grade, shares a heartwarming tale of unity and cleverness from the forest. When a hunter threatens the peaceful life of the animals, they band together, following a clever fox’s ingenious plan to protect their home.
Once upon a time, there was a forest beside a village. The animals of the forest lived happily there. One day, a hunter came into the forest. When the animals saw the hunter, they got scared and didn’t come out from their dens and homes.
The next day, the animals arranged a meeting. They said, “We cannot stay without any food or water.” All of them agreed, “Yes.” They were all thinking of a plan to escape the hunter.
At last, a clever fox thought of a plan. He said, “I think the hunter is not too smart.” All of them asked, “Why?” The fox said, “The hunter has been here for three to five days but hasn’t caught any of us yet.” All of them agreed, “Yes.”
The fox continued, “I have a plan. Deer, you will go near the stream to drink water. The rest of us will hide behind the trees. When the hunter comes to catch the deer, I will howl. Then we all will jump to catch the hunter. He will be scared and will run away. Our forest will be safe again.”
All the animals agreed, “Okay.” The next day, they did exactly what the fox said. The deer went to the stream to drink water, and the other animals hid behind the trees. When the hunter came to catch the deer, the fox howled. All the animals jumped out and scared the hunter. The hunter ran away, and their forest was safe again.
