Arshiya Saha, a third-grader, excitedly recounts her journey from Cooch Behar to Puri, where she discovered the sacred Jagannath Temple, marveled at the historic Konark Sun Temple, and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of Golden Beach.
It was 11:00 p.m. when we reached the new Cooch Behar station, waiting for the Puri-Kamakhya Express. It was a long, 2-night 3-day journey. Finally, on the third day, we reached Puri at 3:30 in the morning. At that hour, no hotels were open yet, so we decided to go to the Puri sea beach.
It was around 5 that the hotels started opening gradually. Finally, we checked in to a hotel, and around 6, following which we went straight to Jagannath Temple. We saw the idols of Jagannath, Balaram, and Subhadra. Later in the evening, we went to the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneshwar, following which we visited the Konark Sun temple and the Nandakanan Zoo.
Soon, as the moon replaced the sun in the sky, we stepped onto Golden Beach, where we enjoyed our moments of happiness. That was our last day at Puri, and the trip of 1 night and 2 days came to an end, a trip that will remain in my heart for a very long time.
