It was the 14th of January, I remember. The day we eagerly awaited. It was this day we were scheduled to go for a picnic to Latabari. Finally, as the sun could be seen on the eastern horizon, I got up to get ready. Soon it was time to depart, and we boarded the bus. Our neighbours too, joined us.
As we reached the picnic spot, I found the place beautiful, just beside a brook. I enjoyed the picnic a lot. Many decided to take a bath in this brook. But I and the other children were occupied with playing. We played badminton and enjoyed the trampoline.
As time went by, we were called for lunch. The food was tasty, I must say. And then it was time for group photographs, and the day came to an end as we started our return journey. We reached home in the evening with a promise to come back to the brook again soon.
