Priyanka Tiwari, Assistant Teacher, reports on the successful blood donation camp organized by Epic Public School in collaboration with St. John’s Ambulance Association.
On June 8, 2024, Epic Public School, in partnership with St. John’s Ambulance Association, organized a commendable blood donation camp at their Debibari campus. The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Additional District Magistrate Mr. Shantanu Bala and the Honourable Deputy Superintendent of Police of Headquarters, Mr. Chandan Das, who lent their support and encouragement to the cause.
This initiative by Epic Public School was driven by the critical shortage of blood in local blood banks, reflecting the institution’s commitment to community service and social responsibility. Notably, this was the second blood donation camp organized by the school, following a successful event in 2019 that featured the presence of Indian football player Manoj Mahammad and esteemed local figure Shri Shrichand Jain.
The collaborative effort saw overwhelming support from parents, teachers, and local residents, making the event a resounding success. Dr. Sanjukta Saha, the principal of Epic Public School, expressed her gratitude to all the donors and volunteers who contributed to this noble cause. She emphasized that the collected blood would be handed over to the blood center to aid those in need, underscoring the importance of such benevolent acts towards humanity.
Dr. Saha’s heartfelt thanks resonated with the community spirit that made this event possible. She highlighted the school’s ongoing commitment to organizing similar events in the future, aiming to continue making a positive impact on society.
The blood donation camp not only addressed an urgent healthcare need but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among participants. Epic Public School, through this initiative, has once again set a laudable example of how educational institutions can play a pivotal role in community welfare.
